YOU Are Empowered by God

Have you ever read Luke 9:1-3 in the Message Bible?  “Jesus now called the Twelve and gave them authority and power to deal with all the demons and cure diseases. He commissioned them to preach the news of God’s kingdom and heal the sick. He said, “Don’t load yourselves up with equipment. Keep it simple; you are the equipment.”

In this short portion of scripture, we discover that Jesus empowered His disciples to carry out God’s mission.  It is the same with you today.  You are the one God has empowered for His handiwork.  His work is personal!  His work is powerful!  His work is filled with eternal potential! Having Clarity During Strenuous Ministry

Consider this quote, “The eagle that soars in the upper air does not worry itself how it is to cross rivers.”

Gladys Aylward, an English missionary to China, had a remarkable insight that she shared through that brief illustration. It brings our thoughts to Isaiah 40:31 where the prophet shows us the pathway to not fainting nor growing weary. Isaiah explores the strength we find by having hope in the Lord.
